Amgen's worst day in a year was only 15% of healthcare's $162 billion loss

Healthcare was the S&P 500's worst sector on September 8, down 2.54% cap-weighted after a failed Novartis cholesterol trial. Amgen fell 10.1% and Stryker fell 8.8% - their worst days in at least a year - but together the two covered barely a fifth of the sector's $162 billion drop.
